Hello beautiful souls, I’m Delfina, a language facilitator. ‘The Wu Wei Way to Spanish’ is a unique method for learning Spanish I’ve nurtured over the years, where you will learn Spanish through creativity activities and activities done in nature, just as we humans are supposed to learn 🌺 ♡
.
How do you learn Spanish through creativity activities?
Can you imagine going to the beach to collect snails and writing down their shapes and colors and then talk in Spanish about that in class? (I guide the conversation and it is adapted to your level, of course) 🐚
Or maybe you and I reading beautiful poems, or doing drawing exercises (all adapted to your level of Spanish and your skills, of course you do not need prior knowledge of the language, nor should you consider yourself a particularly creative being)
As you see, it is about sharing, having fun carrying out simple, creative, and grounding activities, while sharing this beautiful language. Without memorizing grammar, and with a guide (me) that will help you learn “Spanish from real life”, in a superb chill way! 🌺
I am an Argentinian native and I am bikepacking through Latinoamerica.
Meetings last one hour, are one on one, and have been created to take place online (unless we both are in the same city at the same place). Before starting I will send you a questionnaire to adapt everything to your spanish level and your areas of interest. You can choose from a guide the activities that best suit you and also propose your own. Everything here is personalized according to your areas of interest and possibilities. That’s why you answer the questionnaire before.
Please ask all the questions you need, I’m on the chat!
Examples of activities (remember you can propose your own too, and also remember they will be adapted to your spanish level, your time availability and possibilities):
“Literary situations of the week. This week you should collect “literary situations” – they can be funny, painful, striking, curious situations. write them down and bring them, we will work in class”
“Go for a walk to a nearby natural area, it could be your neighborhood. Observe. What animals do you see? How do birds behave? The insects? Look for things that catch your attention, nests, resin, mushrooms, knots in trees, marks in the ground, drawings in the water, on bark, strange leaves, beautiful leaves, stones, anything that attracts you. Record what you can, in auditory, visual, or written material, or simply in your memory. We will work in class. With vocabulary, writing, conversation, etc.”
“Think about something you would like to learn, fix, install, build, etc. For example, “”I would like to make preserves and I want to know how to sterilize the jars””, “”I want to install a radio in my car””. We will look for information and instructions, we will learn a lot of vocabulary.”
“Go for a walk in the park, sit and look around you, what do you see? A boy glued to his cell phone? a woman who went out to walk his baby and he just fell asleep, an old lady crossing the square? a man pulled by big dogs? young lovers, old lovers, bird lovers… wathever catches your attention, write it down, we will work in class later.”
